Garmin confirms they were the victim of a massive ransomware attack in July 2020 that locked out customers from their devices. It is critical for companies to take cyber security seriously and understand that any personal data, PII or similar is a target and can impact your customers, your vendors, reputation and cause financial harm. That is why it is critical companies be diligent about both their own security and those they share their sensitive data with.
